THE PRACTICAL TEST

Advice will be given when to apply for your practical test. You will need to be able to drive unaided for about 40 minutes on a different selection of road and traffic conditions. You must also perform 2 out of 4 set manoeuvres. You will use the car you have learned in for the test and you can ask for you instructor to accompany you if you so wish. From October 1st independant driving will become part of the practical test. If you require more information regarding this please contact me.

The current national pass rate is only 43% so you need to be well prepared with plenty of practice. Mock tests are included in your course of lessons so you know what to expect on the Test Day. I have a current pass rate of over 80%.

The standards and marking system will be explained fully by your instructor. Test centres used are Brislington and Staple Hill in Bristol, and the test centre at Chippenham.
